Description: A natural progression from the Mountain Handle Pac III, the IV has the added feature of a foldaway map compartment. Like the II and the III, the Mountain Handle Pac IV also has 3M Scotchlite Reflective Material; an HDPE frame sheet, and main, front and flat pockets. Like the III, the IV has the Jandd QRB mount system and D-rings for an optional shoulder strap. The hideaway map flap is perfect for cyclists on the go who occasionally need to reference their location, but do not always need a map window fixed to the top of the pack. The map flap tucks behind the floating front pocket when not in use. The map is protected by marine-grade vinyl, guaranteed not to yellow for ten years.

FIELD NOTES:The attachment system was inspired by the capo (the component on a guitar that changes the key). Handle bar bags can greatly affect the handling characteristics of a bike; we recommend that no more than 10lbs of equipment ever be carried in any handle bar pack. When traveling away from your bike in "questionable" areas, it is advisable to put your handle bar pack into shoulder bag mode: remove the bracket from the stem, and carry it with you inside the pack. Routinely check tightness of fasteners, especially while touring or commuting daily.
